Gin rummy players can start getting ready now for the upcoming Gin Rummy Association tournament which will take place this November. The tournament is called the Holiday Classic and will take place at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The tournament is slated to run November 15th through the 18th and will offer a partnership tournament as well as singles tournaments. The partnership tournament is $300 per person while the singles is $800. On the 15th the partnership tournament will begin and the 16th will see the Singles tournament begin. A free roll will also take place on the 18th so players should be sure to enjoy that tournament as well.

The latest events to take were the World Series of Gin Rummy 2009 and the Desert Classic. The winner of the World Series singles event was Terry Masline while Howard Holderness and Fred Strebel won the Partnership tournament. The Desert Classic 2009 was a singles only tournament and it was Mark Freidson who won first place. It will be interesting to see if any of these players make it to the Holiday Classic and are able to finish at the top of the list.
