The Xbox has been extremely popular since its release in 2001. Since then Microsoft has released the Xbox 360 to even more success and the popularity has not begun to slow down. Players can play a solo version of their favorite game or they can choose to go “LIVE” and play against friends or perfect strangers all over the world.

Recently Xbox LIVE® Arcade added a new game to its lineup of arcade style games. Sierra Online created a version of Gin Rummy, the classic card game that is almost one hundred years old and played by many. Players can now play Gin Rummy online and knock out opponents by having large scores and gaining bonus points.

The Xbox LIVE version of Gin Rummy allows up to four players to play at one time. This version lets players build the atmosphere as the game evolves. Players can choose their favorite theme which includes the card decks, game skins and music selections.

When playing the LIVE version of Gin Rummy, players can select the right cards to create combinations of sets and runs to complete their hand. Players can also discard discretely so they are not caught with a hand of high cards. This version of Gin Rummy comes in six game modes: Classic, Speed Gin, Hollywood Gin, Three-Hand Gin and a custom version. In the custom version, players can create their own rules to create their own style of game. At the end of the game, players will get to see a detailed list of each player’s points and bonuses. This will occur after the rapid automatic scoring.
